Abbey Stadium, managed by Indigo Fitness, wanted to expand its fitness offerings with a versatile outdoor training space. The goal? A facility that could host multiple classes at once and remain operational year-round—no matter the weather.

Indigo Fitness partnered with McGregor Structures to bring this vision to life, integrating a Shield Canopy with two 20ft shipping containers. The canopy provided all-weather protection, while the containers served as storage and space dividers, allowing for simultaneous or larger group training sessions.

Inside, a freestanding functional training rig stands at the heart of the setup, featuring six lifting stations, muscle-up and suspension points, dual-height throw targets, and two 4m rope climb sections—all set on durable 32mm Duratrain flooring. Roller shutter doors on the containers allow easy access to custom storage for gym equipment, while integrated lighting ensures training continues long into the night.

This cutting-edge outdoor facility has transformed Abbey Stadium into a true destination for fitness, unlocking new revenue streams and training opportunities—all 365 days a year.
