ATG are an established HIAB hire and haulage company that have recently expanded their business to include customising shipping containers. They had been fabricating in their open yard, but needed to increase their manufacturing output and protect the team and their tools, as well as cover the work in progress from the weather.

Andrew Greening, the Managing Director of ATG Site Services, recognised they could employ a container canopy to create the shelter they needed – utilising the shipping containers they already had on site. After some initial research Andrew quickly identified the McGregor Shield Canopy as the stand out product in the market. Manufactured in the UK with immediate availability, their structure was up and operational in a matter of days, transforming how the team worked.

The canopy protects from the elements while allowing natural light to enter the space, providing a safe, enclosed environment for the team to work. Formed of a 10 metre wide Shield Canopy fitted between 40 foot shipping containers, the workshop is bright, tidy, with a generous opening to bring projects in and out of the space.

The modular design of Shield Canopy accelerated the build time and creates future opportunities to move sites or expand the structure – saving time and reducing the project’s overall cost.
